Where do you have functional OpenGL?

I find that if I leave Xscreensaver running with random hacks that use
OpenGL, my Xorg process will be locked at 99% CPU when I come into the
office on Mondays.

I use my laptop or serial console to restart Xorg.

I use nvidia(4) and Xorg 7.2 on a 4-Beta/amd64
