I'm sorry, but that's not what I ment by not hard coding them. Look at
e.g. the "howl" package, please It supports makefile variables "HOWL_USER"
and "HOWL_GROUP" whose defaults are in defined "pkgsrc/mk/defaults/mk.conf".
The startup script gets patched to use those.
