SSL for Firefox has been broken on Solaris ever since Firefox-1.5 has been
introduced. Me and someone else have posted about this problem on the mailing
list, there were no replies. A few months later, the problem is still present.
When starting Firefox, a message box is displayed saying that browser security
component could not be initialised. Also when installing Firefox, the following
errors are displayed:

Executing 'env LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/pkg/lib/firefox
MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/opt/pkg/lib/firefox /opt/pkg/lib/firefox/regxpcom' XPCOM

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with Firefox on Solaris?? I
downloaded a pre-built Firefox-1.5 binary for Solaris from Mozilla's website,
which works fine. So maybe it's something that pkgsrc does that breaks things
on Solaris??
