I have downloaded the sparcpkg-3.0.iso,
verified its md5 checksum,
mounted the image (inside qemu),
and verified the misc.tgz checksum.
"tar plvtf misc.tgz" also looks ok.

It all works here, so I hope this is not something i've missed. 
If so, please let me know!
