Actually, how about this:  since the package as is builds fine for 
anyone with a properly configured environment, I will leave it as is.  
Plenty of people are building it and using it as it is now, so I don't 
see any reason it should change.

If people are worried about the bulk build environment not being able to 
build this package (and apparently, people are, since we're talking 
about deleting perfectly working packages to make the bulk build reports 
look nicer), _they_ can take this up with the authors of java-vm.mk.
