I worked on a script to generate a database hopefully to be used to create
an apt-get/yum/up2date/urpmi equivalent. (I need to fix the LibRequires
because currently pkgsrc records too much information.)

ftp://ftp.NetBSD.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/reed/build_complete_pkg_datafile_from_packages

I need to look on one of my build systems (that is turned off right now)
that may have a newer script.

ftp://ftp.NetBSD.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/reed/example-pkgsrc-available

or large pkgsrc-available-NetBSD-2.0-i386.bz2 from same directory (945572
bytes generated on Jan. 14)

(My plan is to have the end-user who doesn't use pkgsrc-build-from-source
download the big tar ball of "available" packages; and then use a smart
tool to compare what is installed and if updates can be done cleanly and
then do it.)
