I just tried to do this and I get the following: 

checking for library containing tgetent... no
configure: error: no relevant library found containing tgetent
===> exited with status 1
aborted.

I suppose as per with the RHEL3 issue, I'm happy to both a workaround
and be able to test for 'fixing' pkgsrc for Ubuntu.  Are there
maintainers for each 'platform' for pkgsrc?  Like supposing I have an
Ubuntu/pkgsrc issue as per now, then I'll contact
pkgsrc-ubuntu-guru@pkgsrc.org or some such...
