Hmmm.. Very interesting. I would try 4.x with C++ code if it would be 
available in pkgsrc or maybe in pkgsrc-wip course I'v boored too much now 
compiling/using every day rather fat projects with "slow as hell" (tm) g++ 
v3.3.3 (Qt4, ACE/TAO, & so on).
