Hi everybody,

After several days of hard work, I just finished updating the GNOME
packages in pkgsrc to their respective versions in GNOME 2.12.1.

During the next days you should expect fixes to the already-commited
stuff, because lots of things have been touched and there are surely
some problems to fix.

Please, please, please: if you are a developer and commit a fix to the
existing packages, spend some time to report it back to GNOME's Bugzilla
(http://bugzilla.gnome.org/). I can't keep track of all the changes you do=
,
and local patches are a PITA to handle during big updates like this one.

If you want to update your system without removing all the packages
(using make replace) it's recommended that you update your installed
packages following the same order as listed in gnome-devel,
gnome-base and gnome meta-packages.

Have fun; 2.12.x comes with cool new goodies :-)
