Although I have

passwd:         ldap files

in nsswitch.conf, there is no lookup on the LDAP backend (when I do 
"getent passwd" for instance).

pam_ldap and nss_ldap share the same config file so I'm pretty sure the 
configuration is fine (I can log with SSH using my LDAP password).
I also have set the following options in the file:

debug 1
logdir /var/log/ldap-lib

but nothing gets written.
It looks like nsswitch can't figure out where the library for the ldap 
source is.
