G'day,

it appears that I was unable to interest the maintainer nor this community =
to=20
upgrade x11/py-wxWidget in retrospect with the recent upgrade of x11/wxGTK.

Is there a reason why py-wxWidget wasn't upgraded at the time when wxGTK ma=
de=20
it to 2.6.1? Are there other packages that still require 2.4.0? If so, woul=
d=20
it be appropriate to create a new package for 2.6.1?

I've several packages for GNU Radio that I'm ready to submit requiring the=
=20
later version py-wxWidget. The current lack of support for py-wxWidget-2.6.=
1=20
and fftwf-3.01 has sofar prevented this.=20

As announced in an earlier email, the pkgsrc for py-wxWidget based on=20
wxGTK-2.6.1 is available from

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/wulf/py-wxWidget.tar.gz
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/wulf/fftwf-3.0.1-pkgsrc.tar.gz

Without the feedback from this community and not knowing the full implicati=
on=20
of an upgrade in respect to dependencies of other packages I'm hesitent to=
=20
upgrade py-wxWidget.=20

Any suggestions are most welcome,

cheerio Berndt
