Subject: pkgsrc' cpio on Linux (PR #30627)

Since I have not seen any progress on the PR, I thought it might be
best to send a warning message here.
When bootstrapping pkgsrc on Linux, a buggy cpio is built and
installed from archivers/pax. As stated in the PR, the bug is in both
src/bin/pax and pkgsrc/archivers/pax. However, I have only been bitten
by the bug on Linux. (It was a horrible experience.)
So, since cpio probably already exists on the Linux machine, the
simplest workaround is to use that instead of the pkgsrc one.
