Hi all,

on pkgsrcCon 2005 it was suggested that we don't keep the 1:1 relation 
between supported platforms and their operating system names. This might 
be useful for IRIX and perhaps other platforms that change heavily 
depending on the version number.

So I suggest a new variable PLATFORM to be introduced which is used when 
we refer to a platform instead of an operating system. The default value 
for PLATFORM would of course be ${OPSYS}, to make migration smooth.
