I may have worded my email wrong.

I don't want to use xpkgwedge.

I am guessing it would not be needed if we take that same xpkgwedge
functionality and implement in pkgsrc/xorg-imake or pkgsrc/x11/imake when
USE_XPKGWEDGE is yes.
