In short, you mean put the teTeX3-share pkg's files 
into share/texmf-dist instead of share/texmf?

I'd very much appreciate help on this! Can you send me some patches for 
pkgsrc on things you think should be changed? Or at least a brief 
description of the changes you think should be made? No URLs I have to dig 
out and guess what you mean please. :)

One emberassing change that must be made (after testing!) is in 
teTeX3-bin/Makefile to ensure the right Makefile.common is pulled in.
I won't get to that before the weekend.
