The patch makes things going, thanks.

There's one non-nice thing though: Apparently it makes TeX use
non-Postscript fonts that take very long in acroread to render.
Looking at a page from the table of contents, it's displayed very quick
before, and now every "." is printed alone.

Is there a way to force use of Postscript fonts?
