Hi,

i've successfully built / installed gnome 2.10 from pkgsrc on my i386
laptop. However, here are 2 issues i'm facing, i'd like to know if there's
something obvious / on the way to be commited before i put my hands in it.

1. gnome2-applets

battstat dies at start, with the usual "has quit unexpectedly" popup
same for system monitor

those two used to work on gnome 2.8

2. gnome-terminal vs xterm

weird behaviour here, as i use a small-ram-amount laptop, i'd rather use
xterm than gnome-terminal as my default term. When i run xterm from, for
example, gnome mini-commander or a gnome-terminal, everything works
fine. When it is launched from a so-called "launcher" (desktop or toolbar
item), ^C just doesn't work and ^D leads to xterm hang with what i presume
being an infinite loop.

any hint ?

regards,
