Hi

I'm just trying to compile several x11 related pkgsrc packages on a
complete -current (src (kernel + userland) and pkgsrc) macppc system
and during installation of each successfully compiled package I see

  ===> [Automatic a.out shared object handling]
  /sbin/ldconfig: not found

Why 'a.out'? (of course there is no '/sbin/ldconfig'!)

Maybe related to this the installation of 'net/ORBit2' failed at the
point where 'libORBitCosNaming-2.so.0.0.0' should be installed. Here
the pkgsrc system on macppc tried to install

  install ... .libs/libORBitCosNaming-2.so.0.0.0T ...
                                                ^
which does (of course) not exist (, but
.libs/libORBitCosNaming-2.so.0.0.0).

I don't see this misbehavior on i386 or cobalt/mipsel machines.

Any comment/hint?
