OK, well I can certainly agree with that.

I sure don't envy the maintainers of popular language interpreters!  :-)

I'm not much of a perl fanatic and I really would be just as happy to
only have one installed at a time, so long as it "Just Works(tm)".

But I do like having multiple versions of some other "moving target"
interpreters installed simulataneously!  :-)

Well as long as the perl guys really do maintain language API and
loadable module ABI compatability, none.  :-)
