I've had to go back to using it already, as the symptoms I've
described before in

  http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2004/08/03/0008.html

are even worse. The first command line after the prompt now truncates
as soon as it reaches 46 characters. I'm starting to suspect our
termcap interaction somewhere, as the bash pkgsrc compiled on other
operating systems works flawlessly.

Because of this, I'd like to see bash2 stay around even longer :-)

Cheers,
