What's the contents of $PKG_DBDIR/zlib-1.2.1nb3/+CONTENTS ?  I'm wondering
if the package wasn't properly recorded.

I haven't had any problem on Interix, which also has no native zlib.  My
work/.buildlink/lib does have libz.a, libz.la, and libz.so*.
