Is there a way to tell pkgsrc to use the native Perl on, say, an OS X 
system. Or perhaps the native JRE/JDK? This instead of it building it's 
own copy to satisfy dependencies.

Perhaps there is some kind of place-holder package for these types of 
packages that will satisfy any dependencies.
