Why is that? Besides of bugs in pkgsrc patches or laziness of authors?

The disk space does not bother me - but xftcache giving different results
denpending on wether it's /usr/pkg/bin/xftcache or /usr/X11R6/bin/xftcache
makes me shiver. Combined with overall unaccaptable bad render quality,
I think having half your software linked against /usr/X11R6/lib/font*.so and
the other half against /usr/pkg/lib/font*.so is not a good idea.

Anyway, I'm not insisting on this - if anyone can show me a way to make X
and pkgsrc produce good font output, I'll gladly remove all my pkgs and start
building from scratch.
