Yet another caveat:

1) Install clamav
2) Run freshclam
3) Deinstall clamav 
4) Install it back again
5) See the following:

pkg_create: Overwriting /usr/pkg/share/clamav/daily.cvd - pkg clamav-0.66 bogus/conflicting?
pkg_create: Overwriting /usr/pkg/share/clamav/main.cvd - pkg clamav-0.66 bogus/conflicting?

I think, the AV bases should be installed into the
/usr/pkg/share/examples/clamav, and then mirrored into something like
/var/clamav using the ${SUPPORT_FILES} feature.
