Subject: remark on Mipspro support

Judging from the man pages (e.g.
http://www.chemie.fu-berlin.de/cgi-bin/man?cc) the Mipspro cc uses -OPT
options. With pkgsrc's options rewritung if a package happens to
recognize the compiler and tries to make use of that fact these options
will be dropped.
I am not sure if that is intended; if not, I suggest to add to the
respective logic script to let pass through any -OPT* option.

Another thought applies to gcc's -static option used in a few packages.
Judging from http://www.chemie.fu-berlin.de/cgi-bin/man?ld it looks like
Mipspro does not support this, but uses -non_shared instead.
Maybe someone who actually has the Mipspro compilers might comment on
that issue. How does Sunpro, for example, deal with that issue?
