That explains the two above.
However, I don't understand why it's undefined:
# cd /usr/pkgsrc/x11/gnome-libs
# grep USE_DB185 Makefile
USE_DB185=              YES

Do you have that too?

On the other hand, that's not in the bl3 file, so that could
be part of the problem.
