This was a problem with the package. It's fixed, it's just that the 
author hasn't updated the documentation.

Note that tech-pkg is usually not the place for wip issues that aren't
symptomatic of wider problems in pkgsrc. Take it up with the maintainer
(i.e., me) or on pkgsrc-wip-discuss.
