yes, I would much prefer we moved to this sort of layout, and was
going to suggest something similar so I can properly publish Solaris
packages.

we already use OPSYS/OS_VERSION/MACHINE_ARCH in a number of places, so
that would be my preference, eg.

	pkgsrc-yyyymmdd/SunOS/5.9/sparc
	pkgsrc-2003Q4/SunOS/5.9/sparc
