You're right. They do have files with same filenames.

Maybe the dvipdfm stuff (if okay) should be made to not install with the
teTeX2-share, teTeX2-bin, and maybe teTeX2-sharesrc packages.

And maybe then the teTeX2 meta package can depend on dvipdfm.
