What are the dates of those?

Were they created before or after updating to at least revision 1.1296 of
bsd.pkg.mk?

(My problem is with that fix though.)

I can't even figure out what PKGNAME_REQD is used for. Maybe it is not
needed?

I wonder if my bmake itself is having issues with escaping.
