Hi,

This isn't vital for me, but I thought your pkgsrc-on-Solaris folks
might be interested.

I'm using the latest bootstrap source (from the web page) and the
latest pkgsrc tarball on a Solaris 9 box. One thing I'd like to have
is net-snmp, so I can share 90% of my mrtg configs between all sorts
of systems.

The dependencies all appear to build correctly. When I attempt to
build net-snmp, however, I wind up with things like this:

...
creating ./config.status
creating Makefile
creating snmplib/Makefile
./config.status[256]: 24369 Segmentation Fault(coredump)
creating apps/Makefile
creating apps/snmpnetstat/Makefile
./config.status[256]: 24429 Segmentation Fault(coredump)
creating agent/Makefile
./config.status[256]: 24459 Segmentation Fault(coredump)
creating agent/helpers/Makefile
./config.status[256]: 24489 Segmentation Fault(coredump)
creating agent/mibgroup/Makefile
creating local/Makefile
./config.status[256]: 24549 Segmentation Fault(coredump)
creating testing/Makefile
creating man/Makefile
./config.status[256]: 24609 Segmentation Fault(coredump)
creating mibs/Makefile
./config.status[256]: 24639 Segmentation Fault(coredump)
creating net-snmp-config
./config.status[256]: 24663 Segmentation Fault(coredump)
creating include/net-snmp/net-snmp-config.h
...

...
===> Building for net-snmp-5.0.9
bmake: don't know how to make all. Stop

bmake: stopped in /usr/pkgsrc/net/net-snmp/work/net-snmp-5.0.9
*** Error code 2

Stop.
bmake: stopped in /usr/pkgsrc/net/net-snmp
*** Error code 1

Stop.

The odd thing is, if you repeat the test the segfaults while creating
the Makefiles are in different places. Sometimes some of them finish,
other times they don't.

I don't believe that it's an error with the net-snmp software, because
I can successfully pass this point when building the software by hand.

I'm willing to test fixes, of course.

==ml
