It does use Imake.
I'm running current bootstrap-pkgsrc with /usr/pkg/bin/bmake
and CC=/usr/pkg/gcc-2.95.3/bin/cc set in /etc/mk.conf.

BTW, I'm seeing a lot of problems in pkgsrc for Solaris whose
solutions are not at all obvious to me. I see that pkgsrc is going
through some big changes that have hosed pkgsrc generation even
for major packages with NetBSD-current, so should I wait a while
before I start mentioning them, and should I file pr's - when I
don't really have a clue what the problem is?
