Subject: man pages, compressed with .gz, not in PLIST

I see "Compressing manual pages for ..." and my man pages are gzipped.

But then I get complaints like can't stat:

man/man1/tar.1 for gtar-base

mtree says no such file for mtree.0

and gcc3-c has many like:

/usr/gcc/man/man7/gpl.7
/usr/gcc/man/man7/gpl.7.gz.gz <--- notice two ".gz"

(neither exist)

Why would it check for both man pages?

Any idea why it would have ".gz.gz"?

My MANZ is 1 and MANCOMPRESSED appears to be empty.
