Say, what is the difference between KERBEROS and USE_KERBEROS, and
how are they supposed to be used?

Is USE_KERBEROS a yes/no value? A quick grep also makes it look like
KERBEROS might be the version of KERBEROS to use. Is KERBEROS supposed
to enable Kerberos support in packages? 

What's the scoop?
