After several hours of manually upgrading dependencies for which pkgsrc
version are behind (precarious in these confusing times of gnome1 v.s.
gnome2), I managed to get evolution 1.2 built against our gnome*.  We're at
1.0.8, which is rather far behind (1.4 is just around the corner, 1.2 has
been out, and is stable)

Several pkgsrc dependencies will need upgraded by perspective
maintainers, but most of which is straightforward (existing patches/
work with a few changes).

Suffice to say I think it's safe for us to go ahead and upgrade pkgsrc
(doc/TODO says 1.1x something, but we can do 1.2x...1.4x is just around the
corner)...

dependencies:

*) The usual stupidity with DB3 (3.3.11 works fine with the patches)

*) SOUP - 0.7.x ... not in pkgsrc, needs added, simple and dirty GNUware...
grab the soup module "-rsoup-0-7" from the GNOME CVS repository...configure
needs it's hand held with:

  --with-popt-includes     Specify location of popt headers
  --with-popt-libs         Specify location of popt libs
  --with-nspr-includes     Specify location of Netscape Portable Runtime headers
  --with-nspr-libs         Specify location of Netscape Portable Runtime libs
  --with-nss-includes      Specify location of NSS header files
  --with-nss-libs          Specify location of NSS libs
  --with-openssl-includes  Specify location of OpenSSL header files
  --with-openssl-libs      Specify location of OpenSSL libs

...buildlinking should fix these

*) gtkhtml (NOT libgtkhtml, that is something else).  we are at gtkhtml-1.0.1
in pkgsrc, i had to use gtkhtml-1.1.6 to get it to work (a big jump).

*) gal 0.21 (pkgsrc/devel/gal is stuck at gal-0.19.3)

*) bonobo-conf 1.0.16 (pkgsrc/devel/bonobo-conf is stuck at bonobo-conf-0.14)

*) libglade 0.14 (we're okay here)

*) gnome-vfs 1.0.5 (pkgsrc/sysutils/gnome-vfs is stuck at gnome-vfs-1.0.3,
this one is a PAIN)

*) oaf 0.6.10 (we're okay)

*) ORBit 0.5.8 (we're okay)

*) gdk-pixbuf 0.18.0 (okay)
