Hi list,

I seem to have stumbled upon a bug/feature in buildlink2: you cant have
${LOCALBASE} == ${X11BASE}.
The reason is that else, buildlink2 puts all its links into
${WRKDIR}/.buildlink-x11/ -- then everything that should be in
${WRKDIR}/.buildlink/ can't be found (e.g. by 'configure' scripts).

This is very infortunate, as I wanted to try to install everything
under the same /usr/pkg hierarchy, including my 'xfree' pkgsrc package
(for Solaris). Is there a reason not to allow this? Is this a bug in
pkgsrc? What am I going to eat this evening? So many unaswered
questions...

Unfortunately, I don't have the skill to hack buildlink into fixing
this up, so unless someone finds this is a problem too, I guess I'll go
back to having X in /usr/pkg/X11R6...

Cheer up,
--
