I can also confirm this. The hangs are quite random... for example, trying
to build openoffice, it got stuck in java. Stopping the build and retrying
it several times, I got that java command to succeed. But then, it got
stuck in another one.

I haven't got any "big" application to run with 1.4; 1.3 works perfectly,
though.
