Hi,

the automatically generated DEINSTALL scripts contain (at this moment)
three variables which are changeable at installation time by setting
them in the environment of the installation program
(PKG_CREATE_USERGROUP, PKG_CONFIG, PKG_RCD_SCRIPTS).

Although bsd.pkg.install.mk has a comment section about them, this has
been the last place where I searched for a description. Wouldn't
packages(7) (or even pkg_add(1) and pkg_delete(1)) be an appropriate
place to mention them as well? After all, the users are supposed to know
about them and I don't think many of them care about the content of
pkgsrc/mk/.

The only problem I see is when pkgsrc adds/removes/changes such
variables between releases of NetBSD and the mentioned man pages become
inaccurate.

A pointer to packages(7) in the ENVIRONMENT section of pkg_add(1) and
pkg_delete(1) could also be useful.

ciao
