There is currently a check against the package version in the
Makefile and the extracted work directory which causes a 'make
clean' to be run on mismatch. Would it make sense to move this
outside of the check for install and build cookies? This would
help someone who ran 'make install', then came back after updating
pkgsrc and run 'make update'. It might be nice to make it
conditional on PKG_DEVELOPER so developer would have an option not
to be bitten by it :)
