Well, you could tell us a BIT more information at least, so we can tell if
there's an obvious problem:

What OS version do you have, what does "pkg_info -V" say?
From when is your pkgsrc?
Output of: ident pkgsrc/mk/bsd.pkg.mk ?
Output of: pkg_info -e 'perl>=5.0'
Output of: pkg_info -e 'gdk-pixbuf>=0.11'
Do you have PKG_DBDIR set in your environment?
