In this case I think it would be easiest if you passed down the LIBS
setting from the Makefile via
	MAKE_ENV+=	LIBS="-lsocket -lnsl"
(wrapped in the appropriate ifdefs, of course).

Currently, there is no support for OPSYS-specific patches.
