Hi,
wouldn't it be nice to have as mechanism similar to buildlink.mk but
for commands ? This mechanism could conditionally bring in
build or install dependencies based on pecular command availability.
Perhaps buildlink.mk could even be modified to achieve this...

OK I was thinking of this mostly for automatic handling of 
'@{un,}exec install-info ...' in PLIST, so may be only an ad hoc hack could
be used only to take care of ../../devel/gtexinfo building/installation when
install-info is not available.
