There are no _standard_ licenses (licences). Well, maybe one or two,
but authors are free to vary, and they do. I was OK with the old
system, where we made judgements about which broad category to place
any particular license in. IMHO, it is pretty silly to have to set a
variable in ${MAKECONF} for every single package, which is where we
seem to be heading.
