Hi!

I just tried
	make clean && make
in a directory which I hadn't created as that user, but as root, and
got:

wiz@hiro:/usr/pkgsrc/x11/gnome-core> make clean && make
===> Cleaning for gnome-core-1.0.55.1
===> /usr/pkgsrc/x11/gnome-core/work.i386 not writable, skipping
===> Building for gnome-core-1.0.55.1
...

So, the first part is okay -- but shouldn't `make clean' return false,
and the second make not be called in that case?

From a quick look, I don't know how to fix that, though...

Bye,
 Thomas
