So-called `office productivity applications' seems the best description
to me, with the category name nicked directly from the `office' category
in the ftp.x.org contrib directory. Examples of current packages which
might be better in office include: magicpoint, plotutils, tkpiechart,
abacus, abs, gnumeric, xmgr, cal, fd, gnofin, gnome-pim, gnucash, ical,
plan, remind, sc, siag, xfinans, xinvest, xrolodex, zorro, acroread,
lyx, ted, and xquote.

The number of packages this removes from `misc' is in itself a good
argument for the creation of this category, IMHO. The fact that we have
spreadsheet software split accross `math' (which they aren't, IMHO) and
misc, and graphing software split accross `graphics' and `misc' is
another sign that a new category is a good idea...
