Hello...

Is there any recommended practice how to work with patches which should
get applied only in special cases? Specifically I am thinking about the
ghostscript-package, which compiles with -DA4 for environments which
want to have A4 the default paper size, but the important gs_init.ps
file doesn´t get changed. (There is a line with the A4 option that
is commented out.) I think this should get uncommented if PAPERSIZE
is set to A4. How should this be done?
