htdig can put both sites in the search database. 

I'd think that having the files generated on ftp and then uploaded to
www.netbsd.org would be the way to go.  This way, they would be 
distributed to the mirrors.  Unless each ftp mirror also ran httpd,
we couldn't get these files mirrored.
