Hello,

I am having troubles with ral(4) (A-Link WL54PC, which should be a
Ralink RT2661 chipset): when doing an ifconfig up or anything similar,
I just get a `ral0: device timeout', which according to the man page
should not happen. Occasionally, the computer locks up completely
when the card is attached -- a power reset seems to be the only way
out. This is under macppc/4.99.1. I have never used the card before,
so there might simply be a hardware problem. Does anybody else see
this problem?

One other issue: does anybody have recommendations for good cardbus
IEEE802.11(b/)g devices that are widely available and work well under
NetBSD (or that are well documented) without using binary firmware
blobs (I do not want to bring up the `blobs are evil' debate -- I just
thought that if I buy a card, I could vote with my money at the same
time).

Thanks in advance,

-- Johan
