So far, no panics, and the thing seems to be surviving even without my
doing a continuous ping of a local machine, but I'm still getting these:

Oct 25 22:06:31 hackworth /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Oct 25 22:06:31 hackworth /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Oct 26 01:06:35 hackworth /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Oct 26 01:07:53 hackworth /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Oct 26 04:06:40 hackworth /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Oct 26 04:06:40 hackworth /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Oct 26 07:06:44 hackworth /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Oct 26 07:08:02 hackworth /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Oct 26 10:06:49 hackworth /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Oct 26 10:06:49 hackworth /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP

Note that for the most part the lossage is <1 second, but sometimes it
lasts for a couple of minutes (once 78 seconds, once 138 seconds). So
far as I know, the interface was not losing it at all before a couple
of months ago, but still, this is better than it was as it is at least
recovering on its own a bit.

I'll keep running with the patch for a few days and see how it goes.
