Wiki sounds really good. And it should not be only for kernel configs.
It can be for ANY type of software/hardware config. Consider someone
using ISDN card for PSTN truncing. He could post entire article about
configuring kernel, asterisk, soft/hard IP phones or other VoIP gear.
And many, many more examples ...
